FAQs

Net metering is an agreement with the utility company that credits solar energy system owners for the electricity they add to the grid. For example, if you have a solar panel system on your roof, it may generate more electricity than you use during daylight hours. If your home is net-metered, the electricity meter will run backwards to provide a credit against what electricity is consumed at night or other periods when the home’s electricity use exceeds the solar panel system’s output. Customers are then only billed for their “net” energy use.

We will size it to match your needs based on your current electric bills and available roof space.

25+ years! The solar panels we use have power production warranties for 25 years and our inverters have a 10-year manufacture replacement warranty.

Yes, we currently offer financing through Mosaic and Ygrene. We also suggest checking with your bank to see what current interest rates they are offering on loans, sometimes they’re even lower than Mosaic and Ygrene.

If you use your property for business, in addition to incentives above, you may also be able to take advantage of accelerated depreciation.

The solar investment tax credit (ITC), which was scheduled to drop from 26% to 22% in 2021, will stay at 26% for two more years. This means that solar projects in all market segments — residential, commercial, industrial, utility-scale — that begin construction in 2021 and 2022 will still be able to receive a tax credit at 26%. All markets will drop to a 22% tax credit in 2023, and the residential market will drop to 0% while the commercial and utility markets will sit at a permanent 10% credit beginning in 2024.

It depends on how much solar you have installed.  Each system is custom designed to each customer’s energy needs and roof size, there is no one system alike. Once we do a roof analysis and solar panel layout, we will be able to tell you the exact percentage of your electric bill you will save with solar. Investing in solar energy can help you save money and save the environment!
